Quality Enhancement Coordinators visit people with developmental disabilities who live in supported living arrangements or in state licensed care facilities, including those funded through the federal-state “Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded” (ICFMR) program. It is the intention of visits to enhance the satisfaction with how an individual is supported within their home. The Ombudsman receives and looks into complaints or concerns about services offered through the MRDD program. The Ombudsman can advise people about how to use the more formal complaint or appeal processes and can make suggestions to the program or its affiliated organizations about how to resolve problems that may result in unfair treatment. The Ombudsman can be reached at (513) 867-5924. Members of the staff of Medicaid Services develop, support, monitor, and maximize the use of Medicaid funded programs such as waivers, TCM (Targeted Case Management), Waiver Administrative Claiming and other financial programs, to assist in funding MRDD programs. Our Early Childhood, Adult Services, and Community Living programs use Medicaid funding. This funding is essential for continuation of quality services.
