We offer an external publication, called Together in the Community. This publication features news, photos and stories for the individuals, families and friends of people with developmental disabilities. In addition to features, this newsletter also shares information about the current developments in the MRDD field and its potential impact on individuals with disabilities and their families. This publication is produced six times a year. If you would like to be included on the mailing list, please call Lori Duffey, Community Awareness Coordinator, at 867-5962 ext. 21. An internal publication, called Community Connections, is available to consumers, staff and volunteers. This newsletter highlights the ways individuals with disabilities are included in the community. We give pats on the back to area residents who go out of their way to make someone's life better. We also applaud the contributions of staff, who daily add to someone's quality of life. This publication is produced once a month. It is available in each facility. We offer an annual report that showcases the work we've accomplished, some of the people we've helped and the issues we are faced with now and in the future. It includes statistics on enrollment and revenue and expenditures. We try to present a clear, easy-to-study snapshot of the agency and the people we serve. The annual report generally is available in early fall. Our agency is guided by a Strategic Plan, which is a five-year plan to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. In the Strategic Plan we outline the services we provide, the critical issues affecting the individuals and families, the goals and strategies to address those issues and a review of how we have met the goals of the previous Strategic Plan. Our Annual Action Plan outlines the measures we will take in the coming year to meet the goals and objectives contained in the Strategic Plan. It also provides information about each division or department's action plan, a table of organization, fiscal information, statistical information and information about where we deliver service. To open and print the Butler County Board of MRDD Key Administrative Staff handout, you need the free plug-in, Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can get by clicking here.
